If you're visiting our page it's probably for one of two reasons!


You're either really curious, and wondering: "why in the world do cats need grooming?"


Or, you have a cat that is in desperate need of grooming and you can't believe you finally found a cat exclusive groomer.

However, if you are here because you are in desperate need of a groomer who specializes in cat grooming and you're ready to set up your first appointment, then keep scrolling! 

So here's how it works?

We DON'T do yearly grooms.

We do MAINTENANCE GROOMS.

Let us explain...


PROBLEM:

If your cat is only getting a "once a year shave down" there are 2 problems with that.

 1- You are waiting for the problem to develop instead of preventing it, and then it's more painful for your cat and difficult for your groomer. 

2- Your cat never gets the opportunity to forge the wonderful bond of trust with their groomer. Why? Because your cat need to see their groomer more than once a year to know that they can trust them. 


SOLUTION:

What we offer our clients is the knowledge and experience that you can only find with a feline exclusive groomer. We KNOW how to develop that bond of trust (which is a real thing of beauty btw) and we have the EXPERIENCE needed to PREVENT your kitty from ever getting severely matted or suffering from common problems such as: hairballs, dandruff, dry or flaky skin, feline acne, ingrown nails, dirty sanitary area, and much more!

Here at Cat Cottage there is one very important word you will hear repeatedly. That word is PREVENTION. 


PREVENTION:

All of our clients are set up on a 2-3 month maintenance program! It's that easy!


We can keep the excessive oil off their skin with regular  baths, and the excessive dead hair off their coat with a blow out and our special deshedding tools (trust us, these are not tools you have at home). The reason why that's important is because those are the two main factors that cause severe matting in your cats coat. By reducing those two things you get a happy kitty with results that speak for themselves. 


IF YOU ARE THINKING: "But my cat has never had a bath, and doesn't need one!"

We'll keep the answer to this one short and sweet...If your cat has never had a bath, then how do you know it doesn't NEED one?


The results WILL speak for themselves. Trust us on this one... Remember that cats don't bathe or clean themselves. They merely LICK themselves. They do not GROOM themselves. 


Food for thought:

What if your cat COULD be CLEANER and you just didn't know it because they've never had a bath?


Just know that ALL of our grooming services include a bath and once your cat has had a bath, then you'll understand why they are so important.

Please be aware that while we are still taking on new clients, we only have a limited number of appointment slots available. We have to take into consideration the services you are looking for as well as the area you live in. In order to find out if we are able to set up an appointment for you, you must first submit our new client application which you can find below, so we may review it and then make a decision.


Please note that any applications that we do not have availability for at this time will be put on the waiting list and we will contact you as slots become available.

Once your application had been submitted, feel free to reach out by phone call or text message to check on the status of your application.

Step 1- Fill out our new client application by clicking the link below

Step 2- Once you application has been submitted, be sure to immediately call our spa to confirm receipt of your application

Step 3- Email proof of vaccination to: catcottage.mobile@gmail.com (Required vaccinations- Rabies, FVRCP)

Step 4- Please read important reminder below before your first appointment 


Please note: Before you can book an appointment, your application must be reviewed and approved by our groomer. Due to a our part time work schedule and the high volume of phone calls, messages are generally checked once a week, so please allow 1-2 weeks before hearing back from us.

Important Reminders before your first appointment

Feline Vaccination:

If you have not done so already, please make sure you email the proof of vaccination to: catcottage.mobile@gmail.com BEFORE YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT.

Flea Control Policy:

ALL CAT COTTAGE CLIENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE ON A PREVENTATIVE FLEA TREATMENT WHETHER THEY ARE INDOOR OR OUTDOOR CATS. All cats are inspected for fleas upon entering our Cottage. Please note that if we find fleas on your cat they will immediately be given a Cap Star flea pill which will begin killing fleas within 30 mins. And there will be a MINIMUM fee of $50.00 added to your final bill for the cost of the pill as well as the cost of the deep cleaning that will need to take place after your visit at Cat Cottage. *** PLEASE NOTE WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE IF THE FLEA INFESTATION IS TOO SEVERE, OR IF THERE ARE REPEATED VISITS TO OUR COTTAGE WITHOUT RESOLUTION OF THE INFESTATION. **

Transportation:

  • For your pets safety, whether you are meeting your groomer in a parking lot or in your driveway, please  make sure all felines are in a carrier (preferably a hard case carrier) when you bring them out to the Cat Cottage.  Click here to find it on Amazon 
  • Please DO NOT put food or LOOSE cat nip in the crate with your cat. If you must put anything in the carrier, bagged cat nip is acceptable. 

Arrival Instructions:

Please allow your groomer a 15 minute window in case of any delays. If we will be arriving more than 15 minutes late, you will receive a text message with an update. 

Pick up/Drop off Instructions:


If we are meeting at your home: Please have your kitty  ready in their carrier. We will pick them up at your door. Groom them in our full service Cat Cottage, and them deliver them back to your door.

If we are meeting in a parking lot: Please make sure your kitty is safely in their carrier (not roaming in the car) and park next to the Cat Cottage once you see us on site. Look for our welcoming blue door. As soon as Jael is ready for you she will step out to your car and receive your kitty. 


Communication with your groomer:

Please be aware that changes or updates to your appointment are not uncommon. Most of these changes will be made via text message. To save time, we ask that you please respond to these messages promptly and acknowledge that you have received it. If you have a problem with any of the changes made, please notify us immediately via text or phone call.

Cancellation policy:

In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, PLEASE DO SO AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. There will be a $50  fee added to your next appointment for any cancelations with less than a 24 hour notice. This fee also applies to if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment. PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse service if more than 2 appointments have been cancelled last minute. 

Social Media disclaimer:

Please be aware that we do take pictures of all cats to use as their profile picture on our software. At times, these pictures are also used for social media advertisement as well as on our website. If you do not want your pets picture to be used by Cat Cottage for advertisement purposes please let us know during your first appointment so a note can be made in your file

However, arrangements can be made to meet within our travel radius if you live outside of our current routes. Feel free to give us a call to discuss appointment options.
