Owner, operator & groomer!

Hello everyone!

I am very excited to introduce myself as a Certified Pet Groomer in Brunswick County. 

Here's a little bit about myself...

I worked in the legal field for 10 years as a legal assistant. Working in a professional office environment was very rewarding, but in 2013 I decided to make a complete career change and pursue a lifelong passion of mine, working with animals! I chose a renowned school in California (Animal Behavioral College) and completed my grooming internship in one of the busiest grooming salons in Southport, NC. I was fortunate enough to enjoy being the owner and operator of my very own store front, Wagging Tails Happy Hearts, from March 2017 though August 2021. I received such wonderful support from the community, met so many great people and fell in love with many of the local dogs and cats!

However, I have also discovered a great need, and high demand for qualified cat groomers in our area. We must remember that kitties need good groomers too! :) So, in the summer of 2021 I decided to take the leap and start a new journey as a feline exclusive groomer! I am currently enrolled at National Cat Grooming Institute in order to ensure a well rounded and complete education. 

On my new journey with Cat Cottage, I will be taking all of my knowledge, experience and passion for dog grooming and spreading the love into the feline world!

Jack has been along for the ride from the very beginning with his mommy (Jael). He has been through it all; from working the front desk, walking dogs, hours of cleaning, being a grooming test subject, and all those late nights with mommy working on making the Spa a cozy and beautiful place for all of our guests! That is why he has earned the Title of Floor Manager!
